£30,000 a year da run a band? WTF? am thinkin' certain members will throw the towel in soon.
WTF's the point attitude........one thing I learnt over the years in my army days, you may try, 'n ya may think you have, but, yill never buck the system.
Sad to say, but I think 2009 will be the enda the SPPB as we know it.
Just as the band was hitting a new level too. D.Bradford hasn't had a fair cracka the whip.

£30k sounds about right,
It would have been more if they had to travel on ferries for 4 majors,
The coan spent more than that in 2008, plus 12k on new jackets and waistcoats.
And remember, not too many G1 bands have to buy drums, sticks, chanters or reeds.
Will be surprised to see them out in 2010, one morale goes, its terribly difficult to get it back up,
